Methodology
A primary-source research process.
The method is designed to make evidence easier to inspect without presenting an automated investment conclusion.
Company research sequence
- Understand the business. Map customers, products, revenue streams, segments, and industry economics.
- Test the position. Examine competitive advantages, substitutes, cyclicality, and operational risks.
- Inspect financial quality. Reconcile growth, margins, cash conversion, reinvestment, and balance-sheet demands.
- Assess stewardship. Review incentives, capital allocation, governance, and management decisions.
- Value the evidence. Make assumptions explicit, use ranges, and identify what would change the conclusion.
Archive collection
Collections begin with the company’s official investor-relations site and, where relevant, an official exchange or securities regulator. Discovery records preserve the source page, original URL, document period, type, retrieval time, file size, and cryptographic hash.
Files are validated after download. Duplicate content is reported rather than silently removed when separately published documents have distinct provenance. A manifest and validation report accompany every archive.
Coverage and limitations
“Complete” refers only to the stated collection scope and the history retained by the official sources at collection time. Missing years, inaccessible filings, language limits, dead links, and source anomalies are recorded as gaps. Archives are research aids, not authoritative replacements for the issuer or regulator.
